Unbiased Inspections. Absolute Certainty.
We're an independent, third-party diagnostic authority. We never sell cars, never take a cut from sellers, and never talk price on your behalf — we just tell you the truth about the vehicle.
Our mechanic vetting process
We don't hire people who simply interview well. We trust your vehicle only to technicians who have proven their technical skills, verified their legal credentials, and demonstrated a real commitment to honesty. Every mechanic must pass all four steps before they ever touch your vehicle.
Verifying active credentials
We require ASE certification — and we don't just look at the patch on the uniform. We use the official ASE Certification Lookup Tool to verify expiration dates, since certifications expire every five years. Technicians are matched to the work by specialty: an engine performance specialist never touches your brakes or transmission without verified credentials in those exact modules. A/C work requires an active EPA Section 609 certification, and we verify manufacturer-specific training for advanced vehicle frameworks.
Paid hands-on skills test
Interview answers can be memorized — diagnostic skill can't. Every promising candidate completes a live, paid, hands-on mechanical evaluation on our shop floor. We watch how they trace complex electronic, component and OBD2 scan-tool data, and we reward technicians who test and confirm a failure rather than those who blindly recommend replacing expensive parts.
Reference & management audits
We call the exact service managers who directly supervised the technician at their previous employer. We ask explicitly about their history with "comebacks" — vehicles returning because a repair wasn't done right the first time — and verify adherence to strict safety standards. We prioritize professionals who keep clean, organized workstations, because that's where safety and efficiency start.
Commitment to transparent communication
A great mechanic must be a great communicator. Our technicians explain diagnostic issues in clear, simple terms — never with high-pressure sales tactics. We specifically look for mechanics who proactively photograph or record video of failed parts, so you see exactly why a repair is necessary before any work begins.
